At the Church on the Corner, we believe in equipping God’s people to use their gifts and talents to serve others as well as in developing new leaders for the future. Because of these values, we offer a pathway for development for all those wishing to grow in effectiveness in ministry in all areas of their lives.  The goal of our ministry and leadership development pathway is to develop individuals into becoming “Spiritually maturing, Self-feeding, World-changing Christ-Followers”!

WORKSHOP & TRAINING RESOURCES:

GROWING HEALTHY CHURCHES – The Church on the Corner is an active member of Growing Healthy Churches.  GHC offers world-class online seminars and annual conferences for established churches and church plants nationwide, as well as support to pastors through regional clusters throughout northern California.

CONTEXTUALIZED LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM – The CLD program offers a low cost diploma program for developing leaders in church ministry resulting in an undergraduate degree through the Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary.  Classes are offered through a local church. Our students currently attend the CLD program through Waypointe Christian Fellowship in Richmond.  Golden Gate Seminary also offers other valuable workshops throughout the year in which our folks are encouraged to participate.

BASS CONVENTION – Is an annual convention that offers workshops for ministry development within the church. Workshops are offered for all areas of church ministry including Sunday school for kids and youth, pastoral ministry, worship music ministry, technology, outreach, etc.  The BASS convention takes place each spring in Castro Valley.

ENVISIONING & EQUIPPING WORKSHOPS – These are our own internal ministry and leadership development workshops at The Church on the Corner.  Meetings are held monthly and are open to anyone who is interested in helping to put ministry into action within our own church ministry context!  Here we provide equipping and training sessions as well as engage in active ministry planning for special upcoming events.
