Current as of December 2023

Dear Church on the Corner Family & Community,

We are currently open for in-person worship services on Sundays! We will also continue to broadcast our services via livestream on YouTube, Facebook, and Twitch.

COVID SAFETY FAQs

We will regularly be following the CDC and State of CA, and Alameda County Covid guidelines. The following is our list of FAQs to address any concerns:

Are we required to wear masks? As of 07/01/2022, Alameda County has removed the mask mandate for indoor public spaces regardless of vaccination status. Mask wearing is now optional.

Can we sing? Yes! All are welcome to sing.

Will we continue to maintain social distancing? The CDC and CA state guidelines do not require it. However our seating is spread out and the front seats are set further away from the stage. Also, additional seating areas are being provided on the Patio, Commons, Parent Sitting Room, and Nursery, all with Live video feeds of the worship service.

What will the sanitation be like? In our high touch areas such as the patio and nursery, we will regularly sanitize the surfaces. Hand sanitizer will be available throughout the building.

What will the ventilation be like? We have installed Merv13 filters which are the highest grade of filters that filter out 99% of all air particles. Air recirculation will be on during worship service. Windows will also be open to ensure adequate air flow.

Will we have childcare or Sunday school for the kids? We have resumed our drop-off Nursery childcare, elementary-aged Sunday School and Youth Group. Additionally, a parent seating area is reserved in the back of the sanctuary for families with young children where kid’s activities are also available.

Will temperature checks be required upon entry to the church? The CDC and CA state guidelines do not require it. However, an optional automated temperature check device will be available at the door. As always, if you or a family member have an elevated temperature and are feeling ill, please stay home and watch our services by livestream.

Will we be checking people’s vaccination statuses? No, we will not check vaccination statuses of those in attendance. However, all our volunteer and staff ministry team members are required to be vaccinated.

What are some other ways that we are ensuring a safe environment? We are no longer taking up offerings during the worship service. Connection Cards & offerings can now be dropped off in Collection Boxes in the back of the sanctuary. They can also be completed online throughout our online giving and online Connection Card.

Becoming a Spiritually Maturing, Self-Feeding, World-Changing Christ Follower!

During these COVID times, remember these words from 1 Samuel 30:6 to also guide your faith and practice, “…but David encouraged himself in the Lord.” You can do this in many ways: reading God’s Word, praying, listening to Christian music, reading devotionals, using online digital growth resources (more details below!), reconnecting with our loved ones, exchanging texts, etc.

Right now more than ever, the body of Christ has an opportunity to rise up and shine by serving as the hands and feet of Christ to all those around us! One way is simply to check in on those whom you know may be the most vulnerable/at risk and isolated, and if needed, offer to pick up groceries for them, etc.

Another way is let our health, law enforcement and service professionals on the front line of this pandemic who are putting themselves in harms way, know that we are praying for them!

As we look for ways to do good deeds in the name of Jesus, we all need to especially be on the lookout for opportunities to also share the hope of God’s good news of Jesus Christ!

“But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.” -1 Peter 3:15 NIV
