THE ATTRIBUTES OF GOD STUDY
Starting in August 2023, our Women’s Connection will begin the study called “The Attributes of God” by The Daily Grace Co. Each month, we will read on a single attribute of God together during our monthly Women’s Connection meeting held in-person and on ZOOM. Be sure to check our Get Connected page for the latest schedule!
Introduction:
Jeremiah 9:23-24 NLT
23 This is what the Lord says:
“Don’t let the wise boast in their wisdom,
or the powerful boast in their power,
or the rich boast in their riches.
24 But those who wish to boast
should boast in this alone:
that they truly know me and understand that I am the Lord
who demonstrates unfailing love
and who brings justice and righteousness to the earth,
and that I delight in these things.
I, the Lord, have spoken!
Psalm 27:8 NIV
8 My heart says of you, “Seek his face!”
Your face, Lord, I will seek.
WOMEN’S DISCIPLESHIP STUDY – DISCIPLER’S HANDBOOK:
Section 1: Milk
“Like newborn babies, you should long for the pure milk of God’s word. It will help you grow up as believers.” -1 Peter 2:2
THE OBJECTIVE OF section I is to focus on grounding the believer in the most basic topics of faith. Unless the believer embraces the truths of these areas, she will be stunted in all aspects of her walk with God.
Section 2: Solid Food
“Anyone who lives on milk is still a baby. That person does not want to learn about living a godly life. Solid food is for those who are grown up. They have trained themselves to tell the difference between good and evil. That shows they have grown up.” -Hebrews 5:13-14
THE OBJECTIVE OF solid-food teachings is, as the writer of Hebrews suggests in Hebrews 5:13-14, to take an individual beyond the basic teachings of the Word to topics that will afford them a strong personal walk as Christ’s disciple.
